New plans and Pricing - Disney+ is changing in Europe

Disney+ will soon have a cheaper Ad-supported tier in Europe

Following Disney's announcement of price increases in the US for their Disney+ streaming service, the company has confirmed that new subscriptions tiers will be coming to their steaming service in Europe.

On November 1st 2023, Disney+ will have three subscription tiers in 9 European countries. These nations are Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. These new subscription plans include two standard plans, one of which is ad-supported, and a premium plan that includes 4K streaming support, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos support.

Disney's new standard plans will be limited to a maximum of 1080p streaming without HDR and with 5.1 surround sound. In the UK the ad-supported version of this plan will cost £4.99 per month, and the version without ads will cost £7.99. Disney Plus' premium plan will also be seeing a price increase to 10.99 in the UK.

Standard plan users will be limited to two concurrent streams while premium plan users will have access to four stream. Every plan except for the ad-supported plan will also allow users to download content for offline viewing.

New plans and Pricing - Disney+ is changing in Europe

At the time of writing, Disney+ costs £7.99 per month in the UK, offering everything that Disney's planned "premium plan" will offer on November 1st. If you want to maintain Disney Plus' current pricing, you will need to downgrade to the service's standard version, which will limit the quality of your streamed content. If you want to have access to Disney+ at a lower monthly cost, the service's standard with ads plan will lower the service's price to £4.99 per month, which is the same pricing as Netflix's ad-supported tier.

Didn't Disney lose a few hundred million recently due to all of their weirdo shenanigans ? I can't see these prices doing them any favors.

If they were smart they'd have 1 subscription plan and charge £5 per month.Quote

They have lost 900Million from their failed woke practises, but also taken a hammering of their stock for bringing in a gender fluid influencer to promote female child clothing. He decided to dress as a female child and the backlash is swift and severe.

There is nothing wrong with Disney showing solidarity towards the LGBTQ+<insert letters here>. It's just they are doing it dreadfully wrong.

Not to mention, their tyrannical rules on Actors contracts is brutal. Maybe thats why good shows are getting cancelled. The actors themselves dont want to be part of it.Quote

TBH it doesn't have much to do with lesbians, gays and trans people. It has everything to do with people these days being deranged and mentally ill.

What I mean is these people doing this stuff are completely unhinged. Like, I realised I was not gay when I was around 21. Had moments where I wondered about my sexuality, etc etc. I then realised that nothing looks better than a female, case closed. I didn't speak about it because it was my business, and I have always felt that a private life is supposed to be that. IE, I wasn't the guy to sit down the pub and boast of his sexual adventures etc. It was my business.

And that was normal. What we are seeing now? is far from that. I saw this pic the other day.

And it pretty much sums it up. Even though it is a meme made in jest that is how it is. This is not about where you like to put your manhood, or where you like others to put theirs in you. It is about 100%, unfiltered unadulterated attention.

And people who crave attention in that way? are not normal. And they are not right. And this whole woke bs just isn't right. At all.

It seems that people are also using it as a smoke screen to manipulate, abuse and steal. Case in point on that, a whole chunk of the 90 million donated to Black Lives Matter in the USA has gone to...... Trans funds.

So again, this has nothing to do with sexuality and more to do with corruption and theft and some serious mental illness.Quote
